Hey everyone,
Since this is my first post, I'll explain how we see this working. As you can see from our profile, we're two grad students at Berkeley's journalism school trying to start an online community/web destination for teenage girls. We hope to launch by next spring, and until then we'll be developing the idea, the site, and everything in between...so we need all the feedback we can get. Especially if you're a teen girl.
We're going to use this blog as sort of a diary, chronicling the making of Teen She Spot. So here goes...
Right now we're trying to decide the scope of the content we want to see on the site. General ideas include relationships, politics, college and career, beauty and fashion, girls making a difference around the world, plus tons of blogs, boards, and space for member-generated content.
What would you like to see on a site? What are you sick of seeing in teen magazines? What do you want more of? We have a survey that we're trying to get tons of girls ages 13-18 to take addressing these questions. Please take it and forward it to any girls you know. Thanks!

We can't wait to hear from you,
Allie

My favorite Teen mag is Elle Girl. (its the mini mag) I love when they show fashion trends from all over the world. I love design stuff...like how girls are decorating their rooms to creat a zen space for peace and serenity.
I love stuff about girls who take action to make a difference. One teenager started a prom dress charity, taking old prom dresses that would never be worn again and donating them to girls that couldn't afford them. The charity also helped with donating money for Prom tickets, decorations, etc. I love stuff like that, so inspirational.
Just some ideas.
